"I really learned to trust Him"

I came from a poor family. We were living in the basement of the house (so you can imagine how it looked like). What I remember, our church was far away so even in the middle of the winter we would walk there and my dad would make us sing..

After a while my parents got an option to go to YWAM to the USA at that time when 9/11 happened. Everybody thought that they were crazy because it was dangerous time. The Embassy was closed, we could not get a visa and we had to travel to Bulgaria. At the end, we asked to have for one year, but they gave us for ten years. God also provided tickets and everything that we needed. My parents then decided to do outreach in India and we spent three months there. I saw horrible things in India: people really did not have what to eat.

After that we came back to Macedonia. My mother’s father, he is builder, by that time he built our house. So God was using my parents in the church. My father was deacon and my mother was working in a sewing factory.

I remember we had a vision that we should move to another town. We all felt that we are called by God, but it was so hard because our all lives we lived in this city: we had a house now and everything else. But we moved to another town and we gave our house to a single mother where she lived for the next three years. In another town, my father started a church and other people from the old town were really against that because it was different denomination.

After those three years we were called to come back, but it was even harder because we felt that God wants to start a new house in our hometown. Lots of people were still against it, but even people from other churches joined ours.

It was also a time for me to think about my further education. There was one woman in our church who used to teach at LCC International University, so she helped me to find out more about this university. I took a look and I ended up coming to LCC. I got accepted to other universities in the USA with a full discount so I was just praying and asking God’s will. I talked with my parents and we decided that it would be cheaper to go to Lithuania and then I got a message that I received 90% discount for my studies at LCC. I definitely knew that I had to come here.

From that moment on these two years were amazing. What I was reminded from my mother, someone prophesied over me and said that in this new place where I will go, I will learn to depend only on God. So going through challenges I really learned to trust Him.
