"Believe because anything is possible for those who believe"

My parents got divorced when I was eight. It was a difficult time for everyone in my family, especially for my mom. The family was ruined, my mother was miserable, my siblings and I felt rejected and hurt. In other words, the divorce of my parents nocked everyone in my family off. It was too difficult for my mother to raise us. She was gone a lot in order to earn some money so we all could survive. Years were passing and the wound was still fresh. Once, my mother met a woman who was a wife of a pastor. That woman invited my mom to come to the church, so what my mom did. She took me with her. Before the divorce of my parents, my family and I used to go to some church, but only because my dad. He was a believer who loved God and his family. But he fell… So, my mom, my sister and I started attending that church the wife of the pastor invited us to. Every single Sunday service I was crying without any idea why. Once I was told that Holy Spirit was touching me, that is why I was crying all the time during the service. Unfortunately, my two brothers were not going to the church with us. They still don’t. My sister and I were going to the Sunday school for kids where we would hear stories about Jesus. Also, several Sundays in a row I was going to Christian summer camps in one of which I consciously repented and accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I was 13 when It happened. At that summer camp all the kids were asked if they want to accept Jesus as their Savior. I raised my hand and stood in front of everybody so I could pray with others who decided to make such choice too. I remember I was crying again and I felt the Lord telling me “You are mine”. Now I am looking back and see that the divorce affected me and my whole family a lot. I still may feel an impact of it, BUT! Now and many years ago I already was telling to myself and others that the hardship of divorce in my family is the best thing that happened to me. One thing that I want to add is that God can heal me. He wants to heal me. He will heal me. There is only one thing needed is to believe and surrender to Him, and not blame Him for what happened to you.It is important to know and understand that God is not a source of our problems as many can say because bad things happen to them. God is our answer. Yes, God did not take me out from that difficult situation, but He did get me through it. And He did make me strong. God had a purpose for me to go through that difficult time of my and my family’s life. Therefore, you are not alone. “Call on Me in the time of trouble and I deliver you”- Psalm 50:15. Call on God because He is there to rescue us. Believe! Believe because anything is possible for those who believe. Believe that God is and He loves you.
